It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Pyke (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on October 7, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Pyke to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Best and Mary Best (Hillard); her son Brian Pyke; and her siblings, Norman Best, Alice Billard, Laura Porter and Susan Kendall.
She is survived by: her husband Leslie "Peter" Pyke; her daughters, Yvonne Bailey (Lawrence) of North Sydney and Karen Pyke (Greg Popovich) of North Sydney; and her daughter-in-law Joanne Pyke. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the North Sydney Food Bank or a charity of choice.
