He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Rose and Clara Rose (Pieroway); his daughter Faye Matheson; his grandchildren, Emily Jean Fells and Daniel Foster; his siblings, Gertrude Dunphy, Ada Haggerty, Ruby Harnish, Bertha McCormick, Pamela Boyden, Zita Fowler, Andrew, Jerry, Kenneth and Wilfred Rose; and his half-siblings, Maurice, Dave Rose, Ann Holland, Nellie Coulet and Edith.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley (Taylor); his children, Donna Foster (James) of Sydney Mines, Suzanne Cox (Joseph) of Sydney Mines, Gary Rose (Janette Greenough) of Airdrie, AB, Bonney Murphy (Matt), Paul Rose (Karen) and Miramichi; his son-in-law Winston Matheson; his grandchildren, Jonathan Fells (Ian), Sacha Cox, Joe Cox (Cass), Jocelyn Foss, Robert Rose, Mary Lynn MacPherson, Nathan, Jacob, Nick Rose, Sarah and Will Matheson; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Nevaeh, Maliyah and Charlotte; and his brothers, Jack Rose, Sydney Mines, Jimmy Rose (Wilma) and Lou Rose (Paulette). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Covid-19 restrictions will be in place with proof of vaccination, NS Photo ID and the wearing of masks in the funeral home.
