Peter Reginald Thurbide Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2020, at the age of 96, Peter Reginald Thurbide (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Alder Point, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Thurbide and Helen Thurbide (LeBlanc); his children, Laverna Boutilier and Peter; his son-in-law Raymond Perry; his siblings, Hilda Harrietha (Alphonse), Eva McGrath (Percy), Grace MacDonald (Bill), Margaret Marsh (Simon), Stanley Thurbide and Solomon Thurbide (Marguerite); and his brother-in-law Gordon MacLean.
He is survived by: his wife Bridget Thurbide (Swan); his children, Helen Perry, Miriam Hawkins (Peter), Isabelle Cocchi (David), Tommy Thurbide (Cathy) and Gerard Thurbide (Kristin); and his sister Millie MacLean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Nova Scotia Department of Health protocols requires the wearing of masks and social distancing will be followed with a limited amount of seating in the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Reggie's memory can be made to the St. Joseph Cemetery Fund.
