He was predeceased by: his parents, Roderick Bryden and Bernadette Bryden (Dolomont); and his siblings, John Bryden (Margaret), Mary Marinelli (Louis) and Rita MacDougall (Alec).
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Hollett (David) of Edmonton, AB, Patsy Anderson (Bruce) of Windsor, ON, Bernadette Thompson (Lennie) of Halifax, NS and Rod Bryden (Audrey) of North Sydney, NS; his grandchildren, Peter (Marilyn), Matthew (Amanda), James Hollett (Brenda), Brittany Anderson, Christopher Anderson (Kelsea) and Owen Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Abigail, Emma, MacKenzie, Madison, Carys and Olivia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Junior Sailing Program at the Northern Yacht Club or to a charity of choice.
