It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Monica Beaton (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 13, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard King and Mary Ida King (Cantwell); and her siblings, Meleta, Gerard, Damian, Wayne, Audrey, Pius and Coletta.
She is survived by: her husband David Beaton; her children, Stacey McGean (Adrian), Coletta Beaton, Monique Buffett (Gordon) and Kyle (Michelle); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Colten, Chelsey, Jacob, Monica, Caleb and Isabella; her siblings, Gloria Nicholson, Claudia Warhus (Earl), Celesta Johnston, Miriam Boudreau (Tom), Paul King (Pat), Chicky King (Linda) and Kennedy King (Julia); her sisters-in-law, Ann-Marie King, Cathy King, Sr., Mary Beaton, Sr. and Elizabeth Beaton; and her friend Darlene Jessome. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Covid-19 restrictions will be in place at the funeral home and the church with proof of vaccination, NS Photo ID and wearing of masks for the visitation and funeral mass.
