She was predeceased by: her parent Daniel MacKenzie; her husband Keith Jackson; her daughter Heather; her siblings, Ethel Anderson (Elliott), John "Jackie", Chalmers, Gordon and Gilmour MacKenzie (Eleanor); and her sister-in-law Mary MacKenzie.

She is survived by: her parent Marion MacKenzie (Appleby); her children, Marion Jackson of Sydney Mines and Fred Jackson (Susan); her grandchildren, David, Stephen, Valerie and Megan; her great grandchildren, Chauntel, Danae, Kadyn and Jack; her brother George of Sydney; and her sister-in-law Mae MacKenzie of North Sydney. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
