Marie Romeo Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Romeo (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on March 10, 2018 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Joseph Burke; her husband Peter Romeo; and her siblings, Catherine MacEachern, Teresa McKinnon, Regis Cameron, Vaughn Bagnell, Peggy Barrie, Joe Burke and Lloyd Burke.
She is survived by: her parent Catherine Burke (Brewer); her children, Bernadette (Jeanie Crosby) of Ben Eoin, Dominica of Sydney, Joanne MacKinnon (Martin) and Joe Romeo (Wendy); her grandsons, Malcolm, Morgan, Maxim MacKinnon, Jack Romeo and Will Romeo; her siblings, Georgina Muise, Monica Shebib (Brian) and Tom Burke; and her siblings-in-law, Pauline MacMullin, Lauretta Byrne, Marguerite Romeo, Ethel Lyle, Theresa Romeo, Angus Romeo and Stan Romeo. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Mom's Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17 at Saint Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Ray Huntley officiating and Rev. Patrick O'Neill con-celebrating . In lieu of flowers, donations in Mom's name can be made to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton or a charity of one's choice.
