Marguerite Higgins Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marguerite Higgins (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 14, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Chisholm and Kate Chisholm (Ferguson); her husband Art; her sons, Joseph, Gerard and John; and her siblings, Francis, Joseph, John Chisholm and Nora.

She is survived by: her children, Louise Côté (Al), Sean, Sydney, Kathleen MacDonald (Shaun), Michael (Helen), Cole Harbour and Kerry (Gerri); her grandchildren, Carolynn Dubé (Bryan), Marc Côté, Laura Higgins (Adam), Kieran Higgins (Saara), Kaitlin Thistle (Daniel), Brèagh Cordy (Ryan), Michael MacDonald (Lauren), Shannon MacDonald (Michael), Stephanie Higgins (Tim) and Kathleen Higgins (Tyler); and her great grandchildren, Bren, Theo, Shea, Graeme, Neil, Lorne and Elvi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Covid-19 restrictions will be in place for the funeral mass with Proof of Vaccination, government photo ID, social distancing, the wearing of masks and limited seating in the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the North Sydney Food Bank or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
