She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert B. Smith and Helen Smith (Bigney); her husband Lloyd Wilkie (Ivan Aitkens); her daughter Carmen Young; her grandson Nicholas Young; her great grandchild Davy Reid; and her siblings, Roberta Sicotte, Norman Smith and Kenneth.

She is survived by: her children, Nancy Young (Brian) of North Sydney, Robert Wilkie (Susan) of North Sydney, Grand River of North Sydney, Lloyd Wilkie (Lynn) of North Sydney, Janet Wilkie of North Sydney, Trevor Wilkie (Pauline) and Grand Greve; her grandchildren, Jodi Reid (Doug), Brianne Young, Andrew Young (Maria), Alex Napier, Shane Wilkie (Alysha), Holly Wilkie (Paul) and Trent Wilkie; her great grandchild Philly Reid; her brothers, David Smith, Delaware, Bruce Smith (Carol), Edmonton, James Smith (Mary) and Kempt Head; her siblings-in-law, Emily Smith and Stewart Wilkie; and her friends, Betty MacDonald and Marilyn Brown. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
