It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madonna Jackson (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on December 26, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Joan Marguerite Guy (Bennett); her parents-in-law, Lewis and Mabel Jackson; and her stepfather-in-law Jerry Gouthro. She is survived by: her father Leonard "Sonny" Guy; her son Kyle Jackson (Lauren Douglas); her husband Lewis Jackson; her siblings, Ann Marie MacGillivary (Sandy), Nancy Hoddinott (David), Colleen Acker (Bedford), Carolyn Aker (Sydney Mines), Leonard Jr. "Lennie" Guy (Darlene), Westmount, Gregory Guy (Calvin Blades), Bedford and Stephen Guy (Lori); her sister-in-law Peggy Barnes (Lee) of Cornwall, PEI; her nieces and nephews, Cheryl, Michael, Katie, Melissa, Alicia, Jenna, Cory, Adam, Josh, Liam and Olivia; and her great-nephews, Sebastian and Leonardo.
Masks are mandatory and social distancing must be followed when attending the funeral mass, limited seating is available at the church.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Church Improvement Fund, the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
