He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd MacDonald and Susie MacDonald (Bates); and his sister-in-law Lorna MacDonald. He is survived by: his pet Thunder; his siblings, Paul (Patti), Alex, Mill Creek, Austin, Sandra (Emmie), Jean Donovan (Robert) and Sydney Mines; his nieces and nephews, Geoffrey, Brett, Joshua, Kristen, Alexandra, Loren, Katelyn and Stephen; his aunts, Theresa MacDonald (Bates), Eileen Boutilier (Bates), Willimena Bates, Iris Bates, Patricia MacDonald and Bernice Sampson; and his close friends, Tom MacDonald, Dylan, Sherry Lynn, Stephen Clark, Cheryl, Edgar Boyd, Kevin, Shirley MacDonald and Wendy.
