He was predeceased by: his daughter Madonna "Donna" Jackson; his wife Joan Marguerite (Bennett); his siblings, Helen Morgan (Ray), Lexie Wilkie (George), Marjorie Power (Robert) and Wilfred "Buddy" Guy (Patsy); his brother-in-law Wallace "Wally" Donald; and his niece Kathleen Bennett.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Marie MacGillivary (Sandy), Nancy Hoddinott (David), Leonard Guy (Darlene), Westmount, Colleen Acker (Paul), Gregory Guy (Calvin Blades), Stephen Guy (Lori), Carolyn Aker (Brian) and Sydney Mines; his son-in-law Lewis Jackson; his grandchildren, Cheryl, Michael, Katie, Melissa, Kyle, Alicia, Jenna, Cory, Adam, Josh, Liam and Olivia; his great grandchildren, Sebastian and Leonardo; his siblings, David, Mary Donald, Sheila McMillan (Shaun) of London, ON and Marie Westhaver (Greg); and his brother-in-law Alex Bennett (Mabel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Covid-19 restrictions will be in place at the funeral home and church with Proof of Vaccine, NS Government ID and the wearing of masks.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Church Improvement Fund, the North Sydney Food Bank Society, the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation, the Northside-Harbourview General Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
