We bid farewell to Laurnice Gertrude MacLeod (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 30, 2025 at the age of 78. Laurnice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Laurnice shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Laurnice farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her brother Leonard MacNeil. She is survived by: her husband Roy "Dink" MacLeod; her sons, Ian (Christine Anstey) and Kyle; her sister Pauline Taylor; and her friends, Paul and Sandra Derby. She is also survived by friends and cabin cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the W. J. Dooley Funeral Home (107 Pleasant St, North Sydney, NS B2A1L9). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (Archibald Ave, North Sydney, NS B2A3M4).
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations in Laurnice's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia.
