He was predeceased by: his father Russell MacLean; his brother Russell Jr.; his grandparents, Mary, Norman MacLean, Irene and Gordon Jessome; his niece Charmaine Cantwell; his brother-in-law Stan Long; and also Gordie Quigley.

He is survived by: his mother Agnes MacLean (Jessome); his son Joey (Crystal); his grandchildren, Oliver and Remi Jo (Terry Quigley); his great grandchildren, David and Willie (Sam); his grandsons, Liam and Logan; his siblings, Ann Long, Mary Beddow (Wayne), Jude (Penny), Patrice Cantwell (Lorne), Nancy Cholock (David), Tracey and Sean (Melissa); his sister-in-law Judy MacLean; his newfie boat buddy Calvin Tapp (Susan); and his pet Puss Puss. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Tom Mac Neil Cancer Patient Care Fund.
