He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Thomas (Herridge); his children, Ross Thomas (Lisa Richards), Ann Whalen (Coxheath), Rosemary Thomas (Sydney) and John Thomas; his grandchildren, Christopher Thomas (Tammy), Tara Thomas, Adam Whalen of Edmonton, AB and Mark Whalen (Kim); his great grandchildren, Christina, Trevor Thomas, Austin and Aubrey Whalen; his sister Edith Vatcher (Wally) of Dartmouth, NS.; and his niece Angela Randall (Vatcher).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church or the An Cala Palliative Care unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
