He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Bill" and Ruth "Beth" Carey (Parsons). He is survived by: his sons, Brandon (Stephanie) of St. Catharines and Darren of St. Catharines; his grandchildren, Warren and Peyton; his stepchildren, Jillian and Gary Gray; and his sister Jocelyn Caines Mosher (Michael).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital or a charity of choice.
