With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Higgins (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 17, 2021 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Higgins to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Higgins and Genevieve Higgins; his wife Frances "Fanny" Higgins (Olson); and his siblings, Tommy, Alvin, Cyril (Thelma), Margaret (Bud) and Sadie (Ozzie).

He is survived by: his sons, Brian (Marion), Russ (Florence) and Jeff (Leeann); his grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie (Sean), Kalan (Madison), Halle and Reese; his great grandchildren, Aurora, Skylar, MacKenzie and Molly; his sister Rose (late John); and his sisters-in-law, Yvonne and Philomena Higgins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or CNIB.
