He was predeceased by: his parents, Captain Matthew Ryan and Mary MacLeod; his wife Mabel (Ferguson); and his siblings, Terrence, James (Mena), Captain David (Mary), Robert (Patsy), Cecilia R. N. (John) of Ethel, R. N., Kathleen and Nora Tobin (Captain Michael).
He is survived by: his son Murray (Joanne); his grandson Andrew; his nephews, Terry and David; and also, Sally and Jimmy.
