He was predeceased by: his parent Richard Cox; his siblings, Dave Cox (Nellie), John Cox, Clifford Cox (Cathy), Grand Prairie, Michael Cox, Cape Cod, Marion MacKinnon, Ella, Caroline and Irene; and his sisters-in-law, Dora, Shirley and Mary.

He is survived by: his parent Martha Cox (Confiant); his wife Jane Cox (Peddle); his children, Doug Cox (Donna), Clifford Cox (Donna), Kenny Cox (Patricia), North Sydney and Lynn MacKinnon (John) of North Sydney; his grandchildren, Chris Lynn, Ryan Lynn, Samantha Lynn, Amy Lynn, Gina Lynn and Terri Lynn; and his great grandchildren, Layla, Alex, Austin and Chloe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
