She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Day and Ellen Day (MacMullen); and her siblings, Jerome, Gary, Wally, Dennis, Melvin, Kimberly and Beverly.

She is survived by: her siblings, Pat Sampson (Alex) of North Sydney, Shirley Tanner (Greg) of North Sydney, Jennifer Day of North Sydney, Tommy Day (Carol Anne) of Halifax, Sydney Mines of Halifax, Kevin Day of Halifax, Robert Day (Anne) of Halifax and Greg Day (Joanne) of Halifax; and her brother-in-law Ken Lomond of North Sydney. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Center, Hospice Cape Breton or a charity of choice.
