It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Bishop (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in English Harbour West, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 25, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bishop and Margaret Bishop (Penny); his daughter Nancy; and his siblings, Harriet (Jake), Mary (Johnny), Marjorie, Hazel (Billy) and Gordon Penny (Nell).

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Bishop (Jenkins); his sons, George (Nicole), Paul (Norma) and Benny (Vicki); his grandsons, Colin, Graham and Brandon; his siblings-in-law, Victor Jenkins (Shirley) and Joan Dwyer (Wayne); and his pet Babe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton.
