He was predeceased by: his father Irvin Brooks; and his sister-in-law Maxine Young. He is survived by: his mother Joan Brooks (Fitzgerald); his friend Glen Buis; his siblings, Lynn Ivey (Ronnie), Ward Brooks (Debbie) and Jason Brooks (Amy); his nieces and nephews, Carly, Haley Ivey, Jason, Brandon and Kayden Brooks; and also Abigail.
