He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Allen and Mary Ethel Leet (Johnston); his siblings, Vivian Shand and Gerry Edwin Leet; and his brother-in-law Gordon MacAskill.

He is survived by: his wife Colleen; his son Glenn Leet; his stepchildren, Billy Jennex, Marina Jennex and Colin Jennex; his siblings, Donald Leet, Ramona MacAskill (Gordon) and Rosalee Wambolt; and his close friends, Ronnie Matheson (Coreen) and Art Rogers.
