He was predeceased by: his parent William Collier; his wife Vivian Mary Collier (Scott); his children, Wayne, James and Vivian; and his sister Beatrice Spence of Montreal.

He is survived by: his parent Genevive Collier (Burchell); his wife Marie (Rollins); his daughters, Nancy Smith, North Sydney, Donna Marie Collier Jessome, Little Pond and Barbara Rollins; his sister Vivian Mines (Gus Walsh); and also Sydney Mines. He is also survived by two step sisters; one step brother, and two nephews.
