It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas MacDonald (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 3, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond (RP) and Pearl; his siblings, Dale, Dave and John; his grandparents, Colin, Mary MacDonald, Ernest and Lucy Hillier; and also, Frank and Irene Prosser.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Kim (Donnie), Kent (Kimberley) and Aimee (Allison); his grandchildren, Sidney (Matthew), Kegan, Paige, Prosser, Ceileigh and Charley; his siblings, Colin (Jane), Pat (Shirley), Sandy (Linda), Amelia (Dougie), Lucy (Kevin), Blair (Romaine), Paula, Paulette and Sheri; his siblings-in-law, Rick, Max (Monica) and Debbie; his close friends, Jack Delaney, Blane Cook, Mary and Jack MacDonald; his uncle Alex; his aunt Amelia Hillier; and his cousin Shirley (Alec Curtis). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney, Hospice Palliative Care Society, or the Cape Breton Regional Cancer Centre.
