He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Nelson and Hazel Scott-MacAdam (Warren); his daughter Wanda Lee; his son-in-law Charles McGuigan; his siblings, George, Fenwick "Finney", Bobby, Alf, Ronald Scott (Billy MacAdam), Rachel Armstrong, Mildred Rout, Mary Scott and Marie Fudge; and his stepfather Bill McAdam Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Marie Scott (Harrietha); his children, Linda McGuigan and John Scott (Kathy) of Sydney Mines; the mother of his children Mary Scott (Alderson); his grandchildren, Jenene (Thomas), Jessica (Brad), David (Jessica) and Jordan; his great grandchildren, Maxim, Alice, Luca, Jack, Charlee and Mya; his siblings, Violet "Sis" Taylor, Sharon Doyle (Martin), Conrad Scott (Shirley) and Joseph (Nelson Scott); and his stepdaughters, Anita Jamieson (Patrick Nadeau) and Wanda Gillis Seaward (David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
