With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bridget Thurbide (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 27, 2024 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bridget Thurbide to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Swan and Catherine Swan (Marsh); her siblings, Monie, Katie, Maggie, Lois, Oscar, Dennis and Bryce; and her children, Laverna and Peter.
She is survived by: her children, Helen Perry, Miriam Hawkins (Peter) of Cape Breton, Tom Thurbide (Cathy), Isabelle Cocchi (Dave) and Gerard Thurbide (Kristin) of Boston. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bridget's memory can be made to St. Joseph Cemetery Fund.
