We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2021, at the age of 98, Blanche Jackman (North Sydney, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Duke and Mary Duke (McCarthy); her husband Maurice Jackman; her daughter Mary Elizabeth; her former husband Allister Grant; her stepfather Val Conway; her siblings, Jim Duke, Eva MacDonald and Patricia Byrne; her half-brother William Conway; and her stepsiblings, Kathleen Jackman, May Byrne, Nell Conway, Tom Conway, Charles Conway, Fred Conway and Henry Conway.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Dundon (Mike) of North Sydney, Noella Bragg of North Sydney, Michael Jackman of North Sydney and Marcel Jackman (Elise) of North Sydney; her grandchildren, Robert Dundon, Todd Dundon, Jennifer Bragg-Boutilier, Scott Bragg, Shaun Jackman, Cynthia Jackman and Michelle Jackman; and her half-sister Peg Mallott.
Covid-19 restrictions will be in place at the funeral home and church with mandatory wearing of masks and social distancing.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association, Northside Hospital Foundation or the Northside Community Guest Home.
