It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Marie Hurd of North Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 8, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Marie Hurd to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hurd and Agnes Hurd (Strickland); and her siblings, Lorraine Hurd, Violet Crane, Margaret Lewis, Albert, Kenneth and Bill Hurd.
She is survived by: her sister Shirley Fiander (late Norman); her niece Eva Fougere (late Lloyd); her nephews, Sheldon (Michele) and Norm Jr. Fiander (Debbie); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jason, Jenelle, Chad, Ashley, Laura and Stephanie. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Covid-19 restrictions will be in place with the wearing of masks and social distancing at the wake and funeral.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Cancer Society.
