She was predeceased by: her mother-in-law Dr. Susan Stephenson; her grandparents, Barry Sheffield, Mary and Norman MacQueen; and her uncle John MacQueen.

She is survived by: her parents, Ed Sheffield and Marni Sheffield; her husband Michael Murphy; her sisters, Lori Sheffield-Bowles (James Bowles) and Amanda Donato (Jim); her father-in-law Dr. Charles Murphy (Suzanne Jarvis); her siblings-in-law, Shannon Murphy, Charlene Murphy, London, England, Charlotte Murphy and Phillip Murphy (Emily); her nieces and nephews, Cooper, Charles, Edward, Andrew, James, Maria and Sophia; her grandmother Lorraine Newman; her aunts, Beth MacIsaac (Keith) of Sydney Mines, Sandra MacQueen of Sydney Mines and Norma Gale (Paul); and her uncle Foster Sheffield (Karen) of Halifax.
