She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Blackmore and Amy Blackmore (Hatcher); her husband Clayton Carter; her son Jimmy; and her siblings, Lillian, George, Jack, Richard and Gerald.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Forrest (Blair) and Clayton Carter (Linda); her grandchildren, Amy, Christopher, Michelle, Erin and Deanna; her stepgrandchild Shannon Forrest; and her friend Ellen Anderson. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
