It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valerie Inez Beals of North Preston, Nova Scotia, born in Saint John, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 7, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Louis George and Amelda Inez Beshara (Edison); and her goddaughter Latoya Cain (Hanson). She is survived by: her husband Roger; her sons, Roger Jr. (Angie), Tyson and Colin; her grandchildren, Aeisha, Torezz, Roche, Romello, Teonte, Savanna, Tyanna, Kianna, Lenaz, Lanell, Zeria, Nyree, Starleya, Alenastaija, Lesane and Nylazarus; her brothers, Joseph (late Effie), Douglas and Gregory; and her godchildren, Kienya, Tasha, Anthony and Nadine. She is also survived by her sister and brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Thomas Baptist Church or Canadian Cancer Society.
