It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Alene Dunbar (Newport, Nova Scotia), who passed away on June 9, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilton Anthony and Inez Anthony (Parker); her husband Raymond Dunbar; her sons, Leigh Dunbar and Wayne Dalton; and her siblings, Elsie Tomlinson and Robert Anthony.
She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea Dauphinee (Donnie) of Newport Corner and Barbara Carroll (Wendell) of Newport Corner; her grandchildren, Matthew Dalton (Heather), Troy Dalton (Natasha), Amanda Dauphinee (Jamie), Ashley Carroll (Dave) and Dale Carroll; and her great grandchildren, Alex, Danielle, Abbey, Wyatt and Charlotte.
Arrangement are under the care of the Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, N.S. B0N 2T0 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Merle's name to a charity of choice.
