The memory of Joan Marie Lowthers of Newport Station, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 3, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey McNeil and Alice McNeil (Manning); her husband George Frederick "Fred" Lowthers; and her siblings, David McNeil and Patsy Sanford.
She is survived by: her children, Doug (Karen) of Inverness, Carol Cochrane (Jack) of Brooklyn, Joanne (Doug) of Newport Station and Debbie Francis (Peter) of Sweets Corner; her grandchildren, Sherri Lennie (Ryan), Leta, Drake, Lindsey Lowthers (Ben) and Gregory Francis (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Ezra, Phaedra, Maverick and Tucker; and her close friend Shirley Ward.
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0).
