He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Burgess and Mary Burgess (Pemberton); his wife Minnie (Harvey); his daughter Karleen Mingle; his son-in-law George Mingle; his grandson Corey Burgess; and his siblings, Benjamin, Earl, Hazel Lynch, Margaret Ross and Leona "Joyce" Sandford.
He is survived by: his children, Herman Burgess (Karen), Ross Burgess (Sandy), Lawrence Burgess (Gale), Steven Burgess (Lynn), Doug (Heather), Bea Olsen (Eric), Lake Paul, Susan, Jennifer Barker (Ken) and Martock. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hugh may be made to a charity of one's choice.
