It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thresa (Macpherson) White (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 4, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph MacPherson and Myrtle MacPherson; her grandfather Greg White; her former husband Francis Doucette; and also, Greg White, Joe D. MacPherson, Carmel Timmons, Chrissy George (Teddy), Vince MacPherson and Rita Angione.
She is survived by: her children, Tish MacKinnon (Russell), Frankie Doucette and Raymond Doucette (Judy); her sister Lorraine Burke; her grandchildren, Gregory MacKinnon (Elissa McCarron), Jenna Mihailidis (Harry), Steven Peters, New Waterford, Erin Doucette, Kris Doucette, Sydney Mines, Jesslyn Richardson (BJ) and Laura Walsh Sydney (Joey); her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ayden, Jemma, Charlie, Tiana, Felix, George, Violet and Alice; her sisters-in-law, Shirly MacPherson (Vince) and Norma MacPherson (Joe D.); and her nieces, Sheila George and Denise O'Toole (Burke).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the McLellan Funeral Home (3188 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, NS B1H4K4). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in Thresa's honour to the Maple Hill Manor for the residents and the Angels who care for them or simply share an act of kindness with a person in long term care.
