He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dan and Victoria Fraser; his siblings, Earl Fraser, Wayne Fraser, Gordie Fraser, Marge Doucette and Lorraine Fraser; his siblings-in-law, Ernie Burchell, Leroy Doucette, Donald Morrison and Denise Morrison; and his niece Lea Donovan.
He is survived by: his daughter Danette (Harold); his wife Judy; his grandson Jeremy; his brother Eddie (Pauline); his sisters-in-law, Barbara Gillis, Shelia Pilon-MacEachern and Debbie Fraser; his niece Linda Guertin-Burchell (Robert) of Mississauga; and his pets, Molly and Midnight. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Donations can be made in Russell's name to the Tom MacNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
