She was predeceased by: her parent Leo Currie; her husband Henry; her daughter Brenda; and her siblings, Kay, Agnes, Teenie, Margie and Angus.

She is survived by: her parent Sarah Currie (McDonald); her sons, Michael, Buddy, Hammonds Plains and Eldon (Michele); and her grandchildren, Vanessa, Shawn, Kendra, Lynzee, Bonnie, Ricky, Paula and Michael. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
