It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Joseph Blanchard (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), who passed away on March 22, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Blanchard; his granddaughter Kyla; and his brother-in-law Roddie. He is survived by: his parent Catherine Blanchard (Taylor); his wife Mary (Campbell); his children, Bobby (Julie), Richard "Dickie" (Dorothy), Jimmy (Laura), Halifax, Wilfred (Steve), Calgary, Debby (Sandy) of New Waterford and Darlene (Ernie) of New Waterford; his siblings, Madge Hurley and Bobby (Evelyn); and also, Tena Campbell, Tena MacKinnon and Brian MacKinnon. He is also survived by grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren, who he loved very much as well as several nieces and nephews.
