Raymond Prescott Nearing Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Prescott Nearing (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), born in Scotchtown, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nearing and Anne Nearing (Gallant); his wife Elsie Nearing (Penny); his siblings, Mick, Charlie, Jimmy, Miles, Utah and Violet; and his sons-in-law, Leonard Woods, Brian MacDonald and Harvey Lord.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Peplinski (Gord), Sudbury Ont, Jeanette MacDonald, Pennie Lord, Sydney, Jeannie Broekhuysen (Tim), Gwen Young, Oromucto, Mary King Scotchtown (Jimmie) and Mark Nearing (Lorie); and his sisters, Jean, Caroline and Anna. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A memorial donation may be made in Ray's honour to the Cape Breton S.P.C.A.
