He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander MacDougall and Margaret MacDougall (MacNeil). He is survived by: his wife Ida MacDougal; his children, Paul (Jeannine) of Cheticamp, Raymond (Shawna) of Sydney, Allie of Ontario, Joan (Warren) of New Waterford, Wendell (Cynthia) of Howie Centre and Wanda (Gordie) of Sydney; and his brother Bob of New Waterford.
