It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Magdeline Copan (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 10, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Ann and John Angus MacLellan; her husband Henry Copan; and her siblings, Christina Lloyd, Jessie Morrison, Kay Kennedy, Hughie, Joe and Alex Maclellan.

She is survived by: her children, Richard Copan (Margaret), Carmel Coady (Ambrose), Rodney Copan (Wendy) and Roger Copan; her grandchildren, Tammy Henderson (Gordon), Amy, Krystle, Matthew Coady (Kerriann), Chera Clements (Conan), Kevin (Penny), Richard Jr., Jennifer, Roger and Gary Copan; and her daughters-in-law, Karen Power and Diane Copan. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.

In memory of Mary, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford, Nova Scotia.
