It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William MacDonald (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 17, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John MacDonald and Lillian MacDonald (Abbott); his siblings, Kenneth and Betty; and his brothers-in-law, Dougie Mauger, Reg White and Eddie McGean.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Jessome); his children, Lori Doyle (Vincent), Amanda Greaves (Richard) and John; his stepdaughter Tania Donovan; his grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Ashlyn, Sophia, Marty and Bria; his stepgrandchildren, A. J., Sasha and Jay; his siblings, Shirley Ford (Henry), Keith (Mina), Yvonne, Lillian, Wayne (Corrine) and Bruce (Barb); and his sister-in-law Ellie (Danny Levy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Lung Association, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
