He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Penney and Nellie Rose Penney (LeBlanc); his daughter Rachel; and his sister Marie Slade. He is survived by: his wife Diane Campbell; his sons, Jerry (Meaghan), Joe (Tina) and Jordan (Sarah); his siblings, Joseph (Mary) and Rebecca (Blair); and his grandchildren, Ava, Chloe, Jaxon, Mackenzie and Delilah.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be to the Palliative Care Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
