She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary McVicar (Wadden) and Gordon McVicar; her parents-in-law, Neil A. and Florence MacKinnon; her siblings, Mildred Graham, Mary Ann, Art and Douglas McVicar; her sons-in-law, Stevie MacLellan and Francis Noble; her grandsons, Hugh Douglas and Gordon Keith; and her siblings-in-law, Annabelle MacKinnon, Tina Boudreau, Afra McVicar, Donald MacKinnon and Charles Graham.
She is survived by: her husband Hugh E. MacKinnon; her friend Bingo; her children, Neil A. (Ernestine), Mary, Dudy (Mickey), Lylie, Tina (Bruce), Millie, Hughie, Donna and Hilda; her grandchildren, Rachael, Aleisha, Vanessa, Ashley, R. J., Melissa, Stephen, B. J., Laura, Jeffrey, Allie, Riley, Christine, Mark, Joey, Michelle and Nancy; her sisters, Lylie Burchell (Edward) and Millie MacQuarrie (Lorne); and her sister-in-law Midge McVicar. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Hilda's memory can be made to the Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton or charity of one's choice.
