He was predeceased by: his parents, John MacAskill and Elizabeth MacAskill (Gardiner) of New Waterford; his foster parents, Phonsie O'Neil and Josephine O'Neil; and his siblings, Ronnie, Alex, John Jr, Kaye, Tina, Mary, Shirley, Jean and Dolena.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Kelly, Bryce and Megan; his son-in-law Kevin; and his siblings, Helen (Marcel) and Chuck (Eloise). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and fur grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Eddy's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia for research.
