Barry Joseph Bates Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Joseph Bates (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), who passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Angus Bates (Buster); his mother-in-law Florence; his brother-in-law Blair; and his stepmother-in-law Rose. He is survived by: his mother Teresa Bates (Gillis); his wife Wanda (Martin); his child Jaret; his siblings, Donna (Wilbur), Martin (Rosemary) of New Waterford, Terry (Charlene) of New Waterford and Gary (Michelle) of New Waterford; his father-in-law Elton Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy (Wayne) and Elton Jr. (Val). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless close friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tom MacNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund or the Diabetic Association.
