He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Leary and Ella Leary (Skerry); his stepfather Elias Leary; and his brothers, Edison Skerry, George Skerry and Charles Skerry.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Skerry (Russell); his children, DeWayne (Paula) and Pat Woodworth (Geoff); his grandchildren, Alicia and Kyle Woodworth; his sister Virginia Rafuse (Michael); his sister-in-law Anna Skerry; and his pet Maggie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of choice.
