He was predeceased by: his father Orrin Lenihan. He is survived by: his wife Diane (Lohnes); his daughters, Nicole and Kimberly (Shane); his brothers, Llewelyn (Ethel) and Aldon (Valerie); his nieces and nephews, Natasha Lenihan, Lianne Lenihan (Ryan), Billy Lenihan, Stephen Sawler, Matthew Lenihan (Allison), Craig Lenihan (Lindsay) and Evan Lenihan (Lori Ann); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sawyer, Landon Lenihan, Ellara and Eloise Lenihan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Ross Fire Hall, the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or a charity of choice in Gerhart's memory.
