He was predeceased by: his son Charles Ashton; and his siblings, Archie (Florence), Edgar, Philson, Birdie Hughes (Ralph) and Evelyn Swinemar (Ernest).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann (Reeves); his children, Sarah (Jody MacDonald) and Jachin (Robyn Johnston); his grandchildren, Dustin Bingley, Aiden Bingley, Christine Fawcett and Patrick Fawcett; his father-in-law Ashton Reeves; his siblings-in-law, Muriel Turner, Bertha Turner and Haldon Reeves (Vienna); and his brother Robert Stevens (Grace). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
